What remote online notarization is
Remote online notarization, or RON, lets a signer appear before a notary over a live video call instead of in person. The signer and notary use a secure online platform. Identity is checked through that platform, and the document is signed and notarized electronically.
It's useful when a signer is out of town, in another state, or simply can't meet face to face.
Nevada allows remote online notarization only by notaries who are authorized for it. The rules for checking ID and keeping records are stricter than for a regular signing, which is one reason it takes training to do well.
Where Patricia stands today
Patricia already holds her Nevada commission to perform remote online notarization. She's now completing training on the platform she'll use. Until that's done, she isn't taking RON appointments.
We'd rather tell you that plainly than list a service that isn't ready. If you have a document you hope to sign online, call or text (702) 690-9757 and ask. She'll tell you what's possible and when.
Need it notarized now? She comes to you.
In the meantime, the in-person option is often the faster one. Patricia is a mobile notary who travels to homes, offices, hotels, hospitals and nursing homes across the Las Vegas valley. Many people who search for an online notary just want to skip the trip, and a mobile visit does that too. You stay put, and the notary does the driving.
Her hours are Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday, 1 to 6 p.m. Closed Sunday. Outside these hours? Call or text and ask.
What to have ready for an in-person visit
- A current government-issued photo ID for every signer
- Your completed documents, unsigned until Patricia is there
- Every signer present and willing to sign
- Witnesses, if the document calls for them
- The address, and a gate code or room number if needed
Before you sign online anywhere
Check that whoever is receiving your document accepts an electronic notarization. Some offices, agencies and countries still want ink on paper. Your attorney or the document's issuer can tell you. Patricia doesn't give legal advice, but she's happy to help you figure out what to ask.
