Notary Fees in Las Vegas: Set by Nevada Law

Nevada law sets what a notary can charge for each notarial act. Here's the schedule, how the travel fee works, and what apostilles start at.

Nevada's notary fee schedule (NRS 240.100)

These are the fees Nevada allows for each notarial act. They're the same for every notary in the state.

  • Acknowledgment: $15 for the first signature of each signer, and $7.50 for each additional signature of each signer
  • Jurat: $15 per signature
  • Oath or affirmation: $7.50
  • Certified copy: $7.50

A quick example

Two people sign the same deed, and it calls for an acknowledgment. Each person's first signature is $15, so the notary fee is $30. If each person signs one more acknowledged page, that's $7.50 more per person. The travel fee is separate.

The travel fee

Because Patricia comes to you, there's a travel fee. Nevada law (NRS 240.100(3)) treats it as optional and requires it to be explained and agreed in advance as an hourly rate. The law caps it at $15 an hour between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m., or $30 an hour between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m., with a two-hour minimum.

Patricia confirms the travel fee with you before she heads out. You'll know the cost before she arrives.

Apostilles

Apostilles start at $290 for the first document, with state fees included. The final price depends on where the document was issued, the country it's going to, and other factors. See apostilles and call or text for a quote.
